Review : Hated the blue LED, but you can remove it
I bought this product because it was relatively cheap, not noticing that there was a bright blue LED that lights up the circumference of the clear plastic cover. I spent a bit of time trying to figure out how to remove the LEDs because they were so bright and came on only when the watch was winding. Since the device turns on and off at regular intervals, the LEDs came on and off too.
To remove the LEDs: 1) remove the screw that is underneath the felt on the bottom of the sphere, 2) pull off the plastic cover and the plastic ring that is over the LEDs, 3) clip the LEDs with a pair of wire clippers, 4) use electrical tape to make sure the wires don't touch, and 5) put the ring, plastic cover, and screw back in. That is it. It was really easy. Now I love it!
