You can set the winding duration from 33 seconds to 1 hour as well as setting the watch rotation to clockwise, random, or counter clockwise. It is extremely quite, you can't hear it when it is rotating the watches. It is made of plastic, so not as nice looking as the more expensive winders made of wood, but it does the job. I'm pretty happy with it so far.
